BUFFALO, NY (The Spread) – The Eagles are on the verge of trading running back LeSean McCoy to the Bills in exchange for Kiko Alonso and “Shady” reportedly isn’t happy about the move.
According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, McCoy is “frustrated” over being traded to the Bills and is “not going to make it easy, that’s for sure.”
“Of course he’s not happy,” added the source. “It’ll be interesting to see how this process plays itself out because he’s an interesting individual. … He was like ‘why me?'”
On a related note, Jason La Canfora reported late Tuesday night that McCoy is expected to “make noise about wanting an extension” and could threaten to decline to report to trading camp. McCoy is already due at least $6.9 million each of the next four seasons so how much he can coax out of Buffalo is unknown. It’s speculated that McCoy’s salary is one of the reasons why Chip Kelly and the Eagles were so willing to part with the 2013 NFL rushing leader.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Eagles are now 25/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl while the Bills are 40/1 long shots.
