LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The Bruins righted themselves and evened up their series with the Red Wings with a win yesterday. With that, they remain favored to win the 2014 Stanley Cup.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bruins remain favored to win the Stanley Cup at 4/1 odds, while the Blues have the next-best odds at 9/2. St. Louis currently owns a two-games-to-none lead over the defending Cup champion Blackhawks with Game 3 set tonight in Chicago. The Hawks, meanwhile, have gone from 8/1 at the start of the playoffs to 18/1 to win the Cup.
The Sharks, meanwhile, have scored 13 goals in two games and have now taken a 2-0 lead over the Kings in their best-of-seven series. San Jose’s odds are now 11/2 to win the Stanley Cup, while Los Angeles has dropped to 33/1 long shots. The Sharks are third behind the Bruins and Blues in terms of the current best odds to win the Stanley Cup.
Continuing with the current Stanley Cup odds, the Ducks are 13/2, the Canadiens are 7/1 and the Penguins are 8/1. The Avalanche, meanwhile, are 9/1, the Rangers are 20/1 and the Flyers are 22/1. The current long shots are the Red Wings at 25/1, the Blue Jackets at 40/1 and the Wild at 100/1. The Stars at 150/1 and the Lightning at 250/1 have the longest odds.
As for the games tonight, the Penguins are -123 money line favorites over the Blue Jackets in Columbus while the Wild are -118 favorites over the Avalanche, who are +109. The Blackhawks, meanwhile, are -155 money line favorites over the Blues (+143), while the Stars are -114 over the visiting Ducks (+105).
