Mousasi (35-5-2) has had a lot of success in his career, but has struggled to beat the top of the top. He has lost two of his last three, but both are to top-5 contenders. Henderson (30-12) has bounced around light heavyweight and middleweight over the last few years, but he is just 1-4 in his last five, also losing to the best of the best at 185 and 205 pounds. Both men like to strike, as Mousasi is a technically-strong striker while Henderson relies on his big right hand. Henderson has an Olympic wrestling background, but often uses it to keep the fight standing.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Mousasi is the favorite in this fight, as he has been given odds of -500 to win, while Henderson has been given a money line of +350 to prevail. These two will meet in the main event of UFC on FOX this Saturday night at 8PM ET.
Mousasi does have some grappling skills to work with, but he will likely have trouble out-grappling Henderson. The key for the favorite will be to avoid the big right hand of Henderson. One issue for Dan Henderson is his cardio. He often fatigues into the later round, which could open himself up to a KO or submission from Mousasi. The longer the fight goes, the more it favors Mousasi.
