Hahn wins Northern Trust Open
LOS ANGELES, CA (TheSpread) – In a very competitive event, it was a surprise to see James Hahn walk away with the Northern Trust Open championship on Sunday.
Hahn shot a 2-under 69 on Sunday to finish the tournament at -6 overall. That was good enough to put him in a three-way tie for first with Dustin Johnson and Paul Casey. In the playoff, Casey was the first to go and then Hahn sunk a lengthy putt to beat Johnson and earn the PGA victory.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Hahn had 200/1 odds to win this tournament entering this week, which means a wager of $100 on him to prevail with pay out an additional $20,000.
Johnson also posted a 69 on Sunday while Casey posted a 68 to get to -6. Sergio Garcia looked to be on his way to a victory today, but struggled down the stretch to shoot an even-par 71 and finish at -5 for the tournament. Retief Goosen was among the contenders entering the final round, but he posted a 75 on Sunday to finish at -4 for the tournament.
