White Sox 2015 Betting Odds
CHICAGO, IL (The Spread) – The White Sox received praise for their offseason but will their moves transfer to more wins on the field than a year ago?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the White Sox have an over/under of 81.5 for number of wins in 2015. They’re also 16/1 to win the World Series and 7/1 to win the AL Pennant.
Chicago made multiple moves this offseason to improve its roster, starting with a trade for former Cubs ace Jeff Samardzija. The team also gave David Robertson a four-year deal and signed outfielder Melky Cabrera to a three-year contract.
The moves didn’t end there, however, as the Sox signed Adam LaRoche to a two-year contract and traded Andre Rienzo to the Marlins for reliever Dan Jennings. Considering the Sox only won 73 games last year, it’s clear that oddsmakers feel as though Chicago will up its win total in 2015.
