Clippers vs. Rockets Game 1 Odds
HOUSTON, TX (TheSpread) – The Los Angeles Clippers hope they can muster the energy to keep up with the Houston Rockets when the two meet in Game 1 of their series tonight at 9:30PM ET.
Houston is 60-27 on the season, 33-11 at home and 52-35 against the spread. Los Angeles is 60-29 on the season, 28-16 on the road and 40-48 against the spread. These two met four times during the season, and each team picked up two wins and covered the spread two times. Both teams won once at home and one the road and they hit the under in all four meetings.
According to oddsmakers at online sports book GT Bets, the Rockets are the favorite in this game, as they are getting odds of -6.5 points against the Clippers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 212 points.
The Clippers had probably the biggest series win of any team in the first round, beating the defending NBA champs and two-time defending Western Conference champs, the San Antonio Spurs, in seven games. It was a grueling series that saw Los Angeles go 3-4 against the spread while hitting the over in four of the seven games. In the decisive Game 7, Chris Paul injured his hamstring that has left him questionable in this game. Houston defeated the Dallas Mavericks in five games in the first round. The Rockets were 4-1 against the spread in the five games while hitting the over in three of the five contests.
