CLEVELAND, OH (TheSpread) – LeBron James is being forced to somewhat carry the Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs due to the injuries to Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving. What do oddsmakers expect of him in Game 3?
According to oddsmakers at online sports book GT Bets, the Cavs are the clear favorite in tonight’s game, as Cleveland is getting odds of -8.5 points against the Hawks. The over/under total for the game has been set at 190 points. For LeBron, his over/under for points in tonight’s game has been set at 30.5, while his over/under for rebounds+assists has been listed at 17.5.
LeBron averaged 25.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game during the regular season, shooting 48.8 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from 3-point land. LeBron played in just 69 of 82 games during the season. In this postseason, James has been Cleveland’s workhorse. James is averaging 27.2 points, 9.9 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game while playing 41.2 minutes per contest. James is shooting 43 percent from the field in the postseason while hitting just 16.1 percent of his 3-pointers.
James has been very dominant in this series thus far. In Game 1, James had 31 points on 12 of 26 shooting while pulling down eight rebounds and dishing out six assists. In Game 2, James had 30 points on 10 of 22 shooting while also picking up nine rebounds and 11 assists. James has 30 points or more in six games this postseason. He has also had double digits in rebounds in five games and double digits in assists in three different games.
