OAKLAND, CA (TheSpread) – The Houston Rockets are down 3-0 in the Western Conference Finals, but it’s not because of a lack of effort from James Harden. Will he be able to spark Houston in Game 4?
According to oddsmakers at online sports book Bovada.lv, the Warriors are favored on the road, as Golden State is getting odds of -4.5 points against the Rockets. The over/under total for the game has been set at 213 points. For Harden, his over/under for points+assists has been set at 37.5, while his over/under for made free throws has been set at 9.5.
Harden was one of the top contenders for league MVP this season after averaging 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Harden shot 44 percent from the field on the year and 87 percent from the line, averaging 8.8 free throws made per game. In the playoffs, Harden is averaging 26.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 1.53 steals per game. Harden is shooting 43.7 percent from the field and 93 percent from the line. Harden is averaging 9.4 free throws made per game in the postseason.
Harden nearly had a triple-double in each of the first two games of this series. In Game 1, Harden had 28 points with 11 rebounds and nine assists while going 5 of 6 from the free throw line. In Game 2, Harden posted 38 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists while going 9 of 10 at the stripe. In Game 3, Harden was held to just 17 points with three rebounds and four assists while going 10 of 11 from the line.
