Heat add Luol Deng
MIAMI, FL (TheSpread) – The Miami Heat continue to add to their roster since LeBron James left, as the Heat signed Luol Deng on Sunday.
ESPN reported the news that the Heat reached an agreement on a two-year, $20 million deal with a player option after the first year. Deng is being brought in to help make up for the loss of James. Miami already re-signed Chris Bosh and are working on bringing back Dwyane Wade.
Deng played for Cleveland last season after being traded from Chicago. He averaged 14.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game for the Cavaliers in 40 games. Deng averages 16 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in his career.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Miami now has 25/1 odds to win the NBA Championship next season. Cleveland is the favorite with 7/2 odds while San Antonio has 9/2 odds.
