Wisconsin hires Paul Chryst
MADISON, WI (The Spread) – Wisconsin has found its replacement for Gary Andersen and it will be Pittsburgh coach Paul Chryst.

The Badgers introduced Chryst as the new coach on Wednesday. He returns to Madison after having played quarterback at the school from 198-88 and serving as offensive coordinator from 2005-11. He spent the last three years as head coach at Pittsburgh, going 19-19 with three bowl appearances.
Wisconsin is currently preparing for the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1 at Noon ET against Auburn. Following Andersen’s surprising departure for Oregon State, former Wisconsin coach and current AD, Barry Alvarez, announced he would be coaching the team in the bowl game.
Currently, oddsmakers from Bovada.lv have Wisconsin as the underdog in the Outback Bowl, as the Badgers are getting odds of +6.5 points against the Tigers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 63 points.
