PITTSBURGH (AP) – Chad Voytik is prepping for his second season as the starting quarterback at Pittsburgh, but in so many ways it seems like his first.
The impending junior knows what to expect once the competition begins on September 5 against Youngstown State. It’s what happens until then that Voytik is still trying to figure out as he tries to find his way under new head coach Pat Narduzzi.
The Panthers wrap up spring drills with the Blue-Gold game on Saturday. The game comes with a unique twist. Former Pitt stars Larry Fitzgerald and Aaron Donald will serve as honorary coaches. Voytik will have familiar faces James Conner and Tyler Boyd alongside him in the Team Fitzgerald huddle.
Narduzzi has thrown in a little extra incentive for the game. The winners will dine on steak and lobster. It will be hot dogs for the losing team.
