GLENDALE, AZ (The Spread) – Richard Sherman isn’t short on confidence. Will he play up to a high level this Sunday in Super Bowl XLIX? Get the odds here.
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, Sherman has been given odds of 33/1 to win the Super Bowl MVP honor. His over/under for tackles has been set at 3.5, while his odds to record an interception has been set at +190. Super Bowl XLIX will be played on Sunday, Feb. 1 from University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona at 6:30PM ET.
Sherman recorded 57 tackles and four interceptions during the regular season while also deflecting eight passes. The fourth-year cornerback has had a great postseason as well. He had three tackles and an interception in the win over the Panthers and then had four tackles with an interception against the Packers. He had an elbow injury in the NFC Championship, but that shouldn’t be an issue on Sunday.
Bet on Super Bowl XLIX Prop Odds
Of the 18 games this season, Sherman has recorded at least four tackles in 11 of the games and he has had an interception in five different games. The key for Sherman will be how many times he is thrown at. Quarterbacks have often avoided throwing his way because of his high-level of play. The Patriots come in with the ninth-best passing offense in the NFL, averaging 257.6 yards per game, so we know New England will be airing it out.
