Eagles sign Tim Tebow
PHILADELPHIA, PA (The Spread) – Tim Tebow is back in the NFL.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted on Sunday evening that the Eagles have agreed to terms with Tebow on a one-year contract. The former Bronco and Jet hasn’t played in the NFL since 2012 but he’ll look to earn a backup spot behind Sam Bradford and Mark Sanchez when the Eagles hold camps this summer.
Tebow was in camp with the Patriots in 2013 and completed 11-of-30 passes for 145 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while also taking seven sacks. He rushed 16 times for 91 yards, which was good for a 5.7 average. He’ll be a long-shot to make the roster as he’s also competing with G.J. Kinne and Matt Barkley, who already know Chip Kelly’s offense.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Eagles are 18/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl.
