FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) – Former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez had fame and wealth.
That’s now gone after he was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
Even after nine week of testimony, the question remains: Why did he do it?
When asked how somebody with that much talent and money could throw it away, jurors said they didn’t have an explanation, and you’d have to ask Hernandez.
Hernandez is accused in two other shootings. In both, there is at least an explanation offered, but they are trivial.
In 2012, he is accused of killing two men in Boston after one bumped into him in a nightclub and spilled his drink. In 2013, he’s accused in the shooting of a friend after they argued and the friend insulted him.
