Hawks favored to win Stanley Cup
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – The first half of the NHL regular season wrapped up on Wednesday night and as the league heads into its All-Star Break, let’s take a look at updated Stanley Cup odds.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Blackhawks are currently favored to win the 2015 Stanley Cup at 5/1 odds while the Anaheim Ducks have the next-best odds at 7/1. The Canadiens, meanwhile, are 10/1 to win this year’s Cup, as are the St. Louis Blues. The Bruins and Penguins are 11/1 to win the Stanley Cup, respectively.
Continuing with the current odds, the Lightning are 12/1 to win the Stanley Cup while the Islanders and Rangers are 14/1, respectively. The Red Wings, meanwhile, are 16/1 to win the Cup while the Kings, Predators and Sharks are 18/1, respectively.
The Blackhawks head into the break with 62 points, which ties them with the Blues in the Western Conference and places them three points behind first-place Nashville (65). In the Eastern Conference, the Lightning lead the way with 64 points while the Red Wings have 63 and the Canadiens are in third place with 61 points.
