NCAA Football Preview: MAC Bowling Green O:5 D:5 The Bowling Green would have returned to the MAC Championship game were it not for a double OT loss against Toledo in their season finale, which capped the Falcons’ fifth straight winning season. Head Coach Gregg Brandon’s squad returns only 10 starters from last season but solid recruiting over the past few years and many of them should be stepping up this season.

NFL Preview: AFC South Jacksonville Jaguars The Jaguars were arguably one of the three best teams in the AFC during the regular season last year, only to have the misfortune of playing in the same division as an Indianapolis team that had the best record in football. Still this young club is loaded and only figures to get better, and we would not be surprised if it pulls off an upset in the playoffs out of the wild card spot this season.

NFL Preview: AFC West Oakland Raiders The Raiders had one of the highest payrolls in the NFL last season, yet they managed just four victories to show for it! A coaching change was inevitable after that debacle, so the hard-nosed Art Shell was re-hired to instill some discipline after the inmates ran the asylum here the last couple of years. NFL Preview: NFC North DETROIT LIONS The Lions were rather lucky to win five games last season given their lack of talent, and this team will probably never succeed with its current blundering management team led by general manager Matt Millen. Remember that this club will begin this season with either Jon Kitna or Josh McCown as their starting quarterback, yet with a franchise quarterback like Matt Leinart still on…

Dolphin’s Betting Preview A general rule in gambling is to beware of the Trendy Team. The public usually gets it in its mind that this team or that team is going to have a "breakout" year or be a "sleeper" this season. The trouble is, when everyone thinks that about a crew they’re no longer a "sleeper". They’re shackled by the heavy, cold steel grip of expectations. That, and The Public is usually wrong. That’s where we’re at with Miami. They ran off six consecutive wins to end 2005, made a few high-profile moves in the offseason, and are now…

New England Patriots Betting Preview During their four-year mini-dynasty, the most distinguishing characteristic of the New England Patriots was that they were cunning beasts that could smell fear and desperation. They lived for it. Those Patriots preyed on weakness. They waited for you to make a mistake or put yourself in a position of vulnerability and then they would rip your heart out, show it to you, then feast on it. But the hunters have become the hunted.
