Kahne Sweeps California The competition knew that Kasey Kahne would be tough to beat going into California. He had always run well there and he needed a good finish for his team to have a chance to make the Chase for the Nextel Cup. They probably didn’t expect him to sweep the weekend though. Maybe the only thing more spectacular then Kahne sweeping the weekend is how he did it. Both wins came in the final laps of the race as he watched his competition run out of fuel. Kahne won the Busch race Saturday night after a fierce final…

Yanks, Tigers Split While Chi-Sox Gain Ground in The AL Race The Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees each took a victory away Wednesday from their day-night Double-header. New York took the first game on a 2-0 shut out and it appeared as if they would take the night cap as well. That was until Craig Monroe came to bat in the ninth inning with two on and Detroit trailing 2-3. Monroe took the first pitch out of the park and put the Tigers on top 5-3 preventing New York from sweeping the day-night affair and only losing a half a…
NCAA Football Preview: MAC Bowling Green O:5 D:5 The Bowling Green would have returned to the MAC Championship game were it not for a double OT loss against Toledo in their season finale, which capped the Falcons’ fifth straight winning season. Head Coach Gregg Brandon’s squad returns only 10 starters from last season but solid recruiting over the past few years and many of them should be stepping up this season.
