NFC South Showdown As disappointed as the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers are to have losing records 10 games into the season, both are very much in the playoff chase. Two 4-6 NFC South rivals square off Sunday when the Saints visit the Panthers in a game between teams hanging around in the division race despite their recent struggles.
Trying to Stay Ahead Comfortably ahead in the wild-card race but well behind in the NFC East, the New York Giants are focused simply on winning games. The Giants (7-3) begin a stretch of five straight contests against teams at or below the .500 mark when the Minnesota Vikings (4-6) bring their top-ranked rushing attack to the Meadowlands on Sunday.

The Seattle Seahawks hope Hasselbeck’s likely absence from practice all week does not have a negative effect on their resurgent offense in an NFC West matchup Sunday with a Rams team which has been showing signs of life.
Surprisingly Good The Cleveland Browns thought they had given another game away last week. Instead, they got new life and unexpected new hope in the AFC North. The Browns (6-4) look to build on a wild win when they come home to face the surging Houston Texans (5-5) on Sunday.
AFC West Matchup in KC The Kansas City Chiefs are mired in a three-game losing streak, and their first-string quarterback and running back have one NFL start between them. A home game against the lowly Oakland Raiders appears to have come along at just the right time.
Overcoming Injuries The Jacksonville Jaguars have had little trouble overcoming injuries to key players. They’ll look to do it again Sunday in trying for a third straight win when they host the Buffalo Bills, who are hoping to bounce back from the worst loss in franchise history.
Looking to Rebound Entering Week 10, the Tennessee Titans were tied for the third-best record in the AFC, thanks in part to one of the league’s best defenses. An uncharacteristic inability to stop the run the last two weeks, however, has dropped them to third place in their division. The Titans (6-4) look to rebound from back-to-back losses Sunday when they visit the struggling Cincinnati Bengals (3-7), who have had defensive problems of their own all season.
On a Roll Into Chicago Behind a suddenly explosive offense led by Jay Cutler, the Denver Broncos have moved into a tie for first place in the AFC West. The Chicago Bears, meanwhile, have a slim chance of returning to the playoffs with their defense in disarray. The Broncos look to get another strong performance from their offense and win their third straight game Sunday when they visit the struggling Bears.
Nuggets Head to LA The Denver Nuggets have been getting off to good starts during their six-game winning streak. They have a good chance of extending the run Wednesday night when they visit the injury-plagued Los Angeles Clippers.
