Justin Wilson Odds
For Justin Wilson to find success at this year’s Indianapolis 500, he’s going to have to overcome lofty odds and inexperience with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track. Oddsmakers from Online Sports Book Bodog don’t particularly think Wilson will overcome those deficiencies and have listed his odds to win Sunday at 80/1.
Bet on Justin Wilson in the 2008 Indianapolis 500
When the 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500 kicks off Sunday, Wilson will line up 16th on the 33-car grid. His average four-lap speed at qualifying was 222.267, which he was reportedly happy with. However, he also felt the weather conditions limited his car’s potential.
Sunday will be Wilson first experience with the Indy 500. He ranks 17th this year and is currently 73 points behind IRL points leader Helio Castroneves. He did finish second in Champ Car World Series standings in 2007 and won poles in Portland and San Jose.
Wilson is a long shot to win at 80/1 odds due to his lack of experience with American open-wheeled racing and the Indianapolis 500 event itself. Despite the success he had in the Champ Car World Series standings last year, he doesn’t have great odds to win this Sunday’s Indy 500.
