Ryan Briscoe Odds
After securing a front-row starting position, Ryan Briscoe has become one of the favorites to win the 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500. Oddsmakers from Online Sports Book Bodog have set Briscoe’s odds to win this Sunday’s race at 10/1.
Bet on Ryan Briscoe in the 2008 Indianapolis 500
Briscoe will start in the third position at this year’s Indy 500 after he ran a four-lap average of 226.080 mph in qualifying. After a near fatal crash in 2005, Briscoe has slowly built back his confidence and has emerged as a potential contender to knock off favorites Dan Wheldon (4/1), Scott Dixon (11/4), Helio Castroneves (5/1) and Tony Kanaan (5/1) this Sunday.
Briscoe has experience at Indianapolis Motor Speedway as he qualified for the prestigious race in two of the past three years. In his first Indy 500 race in 2005, Briscoe finished 10th after starting in the 25th position. He failed to qualify in 2006, but bounced back last year and finished 5th after having a starting position of 7th.
In both of his previous Indy 500 appearances in 2005 and 2007, Briscoe ran well, so his experience with the track is a major plus. He also has solid starting position and could give favorites Wheldon, Dixon, Castroneves and Kanaan a run for their money this Sunday. If nothing else, he’s an attractive bet in driver-to-driver wagers.
