Ryan Hunter-Reay Odds
2007 Bombardier Learjet Rookie of the Year Award winner Ryan Hunter-Reay will have somewhat long odds when the 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500 kicks off this Sunday in New York. Oddsmakers from Online Sports Book Bodog have give Hunter-Reay 50/1 odds to win the 2008 Indy 500.
Bet on Ryan Hunter-Reay in the 2008 Indianapolis 500
Hunter-Reay will start in the 20th position at this year’s Indy 500, which is in the middle of Row 7. Hunter-Reay and his Rahal Letterman Racing team feel as though they got enough good information from practice sessions and on “Bump Day” to turn in a good showing at this year’s race.
Hunter-Reay finished 19th in IndyCar Series standings last year with three, top-seven finishes in six starts. His best finish came in Michigan when he claimed sixth place. Before last season, Hunter-Reay spent most of his time in the Champ Cup World Series.
Hunter-Reay is a rather long shot to win this at this year’s Indy 500. He doesn’t have a ton of experience and he hasn’t faced a lot of stiff competition either. He could surprise and finish in the top 10, although a top 5 finish might be a reach. He might be worth a look in some driver-to-driver wagers.
