2008 All Star Game Odds
The 2008 MLB All-Star Game is Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET from Yankees Stadium in New York, but before then comes the annual Home Run Derby, which takes place Monday at 8 p.m. ET.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBG Global have made the American League –140 favorites over the National League, whose odds have been set at +120.

It’s not surprising that oddsmakers have made the American League the favorites in 2008, considering the AL has beaten the NL 10 out of the last 11 years dating back to 1997. In the most recent All-Star Game held in San Francisco in 2007, the American League was victorious, 5-4 over the National League.
The only time in the past 11 years the American League hasn’t beaten the National League in the All-Star Game was in 2002, when both teams played to a 7-7 tie. The last time the National League won the All-Star Game was in 1996, when they topped the AL 6-0 at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia.
Ironically, despite the American League’s success over the years, the National League actually holds the all-time record for All-Star Game wins. The NL is 41-35-2 lifetime against the AL in MLB All-Star Game history.
