Sure Week 1 of the NFL Regular Season doesn’t start until September 4, but who isn’t ready to talk a little football? Oddsmakers from online sports book SBG Global have released the odds for Week 1 of the 2008 NFL Season.
Bet on Week 1 of the 2008 NFL Season
While taking a look at Week 1 of the 2008 NFL Season, there are some intriguing matchups. The season starts off with NFC East division rivals Washington Redskins meeting the defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants at the Meadowlands on Thursday September 4. The G-Men are currently a 3.5-point favorite.
The Dallas Cowboys also travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns Sunday September 7, which is a matchup that features two high-powered offenses a two potential playoff teams. The Browns are currently 3-point underdogs at home.
The first Sunday Night Game of the year is a rematch of the 2006 Super Bowl between the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts. Oddsmakers have made the Colts 9.5 point favorites, but that isn’t the largest spread in Week 1. That honor goes to the New England Patriots, who are a whopping 15.5-point favorite over the Kansas City Chiefs at Foxboro Stadium.
Week 1 also offers to Monday Night Football Games when the Minnesota Vikings take on NFC North divisional rival Green Bay Packers (-3) and the Denver Broncos take on AFC West divisional rival Oakland Raiders (+1).
