ACC Odds
Bowden’s football team is favored to win the Atlantic Coast Conference this year – just not that Bowden. Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have made Tommy Bowden and his Clemson Tigers a 3/2 favorite to win the ACC in 2008.

The Favorite: Clemson
With the best quarterback in the conference, it’s no surprise that oddsmakers have made the Tigers a 3/2 favorite to win the ACC in 2008. Big things are expected from Cullen Harper this year and even though Clemson has underachieved thus far under Bowden, they appear to be ready to break through this year.
The Value: Wake Forest
They might not have the best overall talent in the ACC, but the Demon Deacons are like a gnat you just can’t swat away. As a whole, Wake isn’t afraid of any team and that could go a long way in how they play in 2008. At 7/1 odds, the Deacons are a solid value pick that could wind up being a surprise pick in the ACC this season.
The Long Shot Sleeper: North Carolina
The Tar Heels loaded up on underclassmen and took their bumps and bruises. But now those underclassmen have a year or two of experience under their belts and Butch Davis is starting to turn the program around. If UNC can get more consistent play out of its quarterback position, they have enough talent to challenge in the ACC this year and are a sleeper at 9/1 odds.
