Big 12 Odds
The Oklahoma Sooners, led by Heisman Trophy candidates Sam Bradford and DeMarco Murray, are the favorites to win the Big 12 again this season.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have made Oklahoma a 1/1 favorite to win the Big 12 in 2008.

The Favorite: Oklahoma
It’s hard to argue with oddsmakers giving the Sooners 1/1 odds to win the Big 12. Running back DeMarco Murray has a good chance of becoming only the second underclassmen to win the Heisman Trophy, and quarterback Sam Bradford rarely makes mistakes. Obviously Texas will give the Sooners a run for their money and they must overcome a crushing loss to West Virginia in the Fiesta Bowl, but Oklahoma appears stacked and ready to win the Big 12.
The Value: Texas
Led by quarterback Colt McCoy and a stiff defense, Mack Brown’s Longhorns are a small value at 2/1 odds to win. Texas usually has some of the best overall talent in the conference, but often underachieve and have been susceptible to the upset over the past couple of years. The Longhorns offer the best chance to top Oklahoma in 2008.
The Long Shot Sleeper: Oklahoma State
The Cowboys offer a great sleeper value at 25/1 odds to win. Quarterback Bobby Reid and wide receiver Adarius Bowman are dangerous, while running backs Dantrell Savage and Keith Toston are one of the best 1-2 punches in the conference. The linebacker corps is excellent, so if the rest of the defense can hold up, this might be your upset team of the year.
