Pac-10 Odds

Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have made USC a huge favorite to win the Pac-10 in 2008 at 2/7 odds to win.

The Favorite: USC
The Trojans have one of the best coaches in the nation in Pete Carroll and certainly some of the best overall talent in the Pac-10, so it’s no wonder why they’re a heavy 2/7 favorite to win the conference in 2008. One thing to keep an eye on is quarterback Mark Sanchez’s health, although he should be ready to go by Week 1 of the season.
The Value: Arizona State
The expectations are high for the Sun Devils in 2008, especially after head coach Dennis Erickson’s success first season. The offensive line has some concerns and the defense might struggle at times, but ASU arguably has the best chance to upset USC in the Pac-10.
The Long Shot Sleeper: Oregon
Believe it or not, the Ducks might be a better bet to win the Pac-10 than Arizona State. Oregon will certainly miss quarterback Dennis Dixon, who was drafted in April, but Chip Kelly has a promising offense and the defense returns eight starters. At 7/1 odds, the Ducks could be an intriguing bet.
