Riley Tucker Odds
Even though oddsmakers from Online Sports Book Bodog have given Riley Tucker long odds at 50/1 to win the 133rd running of the Preakness Stakes, at least the thoroughbred has one thing on his side: Hall of Fame Trainer Bill Mott will be in Riley Tucker’s corner for the running of the second jewel in the Triple Crown.
Riley Tucker finished second and third in two stakes races at Keeneland, so he has had some success in the past. But clearly the odds are stacked against him at the Preakness Stakes, as he’ll go against heavy favorite Big Brown.
Bet on Riley Tucker in the 2008 Preakness Stakes
Given that he’s a newcomer to Grade 1 racing and has yet to win behind a mile, it’s understandable why Riley Tucker was given such long odds to win the Preakness Stakes. While other horses entered in the Preakness appear to be on the rise Riley Tucker appears to just be maintaining the mediocre.
Despite respectable numbers Riley Tucker is definitely not setting the horse racing world on fire and at least half of the 133rd Preakness field has as good or better shot at a podium finish as he does.
He joins Tres Borrachos, Racecar Rhapsody and Stevil as the four horses with 50/1 odds.
Riley Tucker will start the 2008 Preakness Stakes from the number 10 post position. This gate assignment will most likely hinder what little chance Riley Tucker may have had.
