Tour Championship Odds
The FedEx Cup playoffs concludes this weekend with the 2009 Tour Championship from East Lake in Atlanta, Geo. beginning Thursday, Sept. 24 and ending Sunday, Sept. 27.
Tiger Woods is the overwhelming favorite to win the event, as he sits atop the FedEx Cup standings by a comfortable margin.
Bet The 2009 Tour Championship
Woods enters the tournament as a 1/1 favorite to win according to the online sports book SBGGLOBAL. Other short odds to win are Padraig Harrington (14/1), Jim Furyk (14/1), and Steve Stricker (16/1).
Woods is a two-time winner of this event, with his last victory coming in 2007. Woods is coming off a win two weeks ago in the BMW Championship. Woods has won six events in 2009 and has finished first or second in five of his last six events.
Harrington has played consistently well in the last two months. Since the British Open, Harrington has finished 10th or better, a streak that is spanning five events. Harrington is winless this year, but has two runner-up finishes.
Furyk is coming off a second-place finish at the BMW Championship. Furyk is winless this year, but has nine top 10’s.
Stricker was leading the FedEx Cup standings entering the BMW Championship, but finished 53rd to fall behind Woods. Prior to the last tournament, Stricker had placed first and second in the previous two tournaments. Stricker has three wins this year.
