Collected vs. Cherry Wine Prediction

After neither raced in the Kentucky Derby, which race horse will finish higher in Saturday’s Preakness Stakes: Collected or Cherry Wine?

Which horse has better odds to win the Preakness Stakes: Collected or Cherry Wine?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Collected is 16/1 to win the Preakness Stakes on Saturday while Cherry Wine is listed right behind him at 18/1. Nyquist remains the favorite at 20/31, while Exaggerator has the next-best odds to win this evening at 11/4.

Who is favored to win in a Head to Head Matchup: Collected or Cherry Wine?

Collected is currently 20/33 to finish ahead of Cherry Wine, while the latter has 27/20 odds to finish better than Collected on Saturday. Neither horse has to win the Preakness, just finish higher in the final results in order for bettors to cash their bet. This head-to-head matchup is a prop bet unrelated to the official Preakness results.

Who will win in the Head-to-Head matchup: Cherry Wine or Collected?

The only time Cherry Wine ran on a wet track he won by nine lengths so the conditions on Saturday shouldn’t be an issue. Cherry Wine is a natural closer so while others will set or press the early pace, he should finish strong and has a great chance to finish in the top 4. Collected is regarded by some as the best of the “other” speedsters, but I like Cherry Wine to finish slightly better on Saturday.
