Just like the odds to win the Preakness outright, Exaggerator is also favored over Stradivari to win the head-to-head matchup. While Exaggerator has 10/21 odds to finish ahead of Stradvari, the latter has 17/10 odds to finish ahead of Exaggerator. This head-to-head matchup is a prop bet unrelated to the official Preakness results.
Who will win in the Head-to-Head matchup: Exaggerator or Stradivari?
Throughout its history, horses that ran in the Kentucky Derby have also dominated the Preakness Stakes. Over the last 30 years, in fact, only three horses that skipped the race at Churchill Downs have won the Preakness. Exaggerator, of course, finished as the runner-up to Nyquist in the Kentucky Derby and will once again challenge the Preakness Stakes favorite on Saturday. Stradivari is a true wildcard to potential win at Pimlico, but the better bet is Exaggerator to finish higher in the final results this evening.
