2016 Tour de France Odds: Stage 1
Who will win the 2016 Tour de France? Oddsmakers currently favor Chris Froome.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Froome currently has 23/20 odds to win the Tour de France this year. Nairo Quintana has the next-best odds at 7/4 while Alberto Contador is 4/1 and Fabio Aru is 12/1.
Continuing with the odds, Vincenzo Nibali is 16/1 while Richie Porte and Thibaut Pinot are both 18/1, respectively. Tejay van Garderen is also a 28/1 long shot, while Geraint Thomas is 33/1 and both Tom Dumoulin and Alejandro Valverde are 40/1, respectively.
Some of the other long shots to win the Tour de France this year are Mikel Landa at 50/1 and Johan Esteban Chaves at 80/1. Ilnur Zakarin, Joaquim Rodriguez, Rafal Majka and Romain Bardet are all 100/1, respectively, while Pierre Rolland is 125/1 to win.
The other cyclists listed with odds are Bauke Mollema, Jakob Fuglsang, Robert Gesink and Warren Barguil at 150/1, as well as Adam Yates at 200/1.
The Tour de France starts July 2 this year and runs through July 24. There are 21 stages, covering 3,535 km of distance (2,197 miles), with Stage 1 starting with the Mont Saint-Michel – Utah Beach, Sainte-Marie-du-Mont course, which is a flat stage.
