American Pharoah’s Belmont odds drop
ELMONT, NY (The Spread) – While American Pharoah remains the favorite to win the 2015 Belmont Stakes, there has been a shift in his odds over the past 24 hours.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, American Pharoah was 10/11 to win the Belmont Stakes for the past few days. But his odds have dropped to 1/1, while Frosted remains his top competition at 5/1 odds. Materiality is 15/2, Mubtaahij is 14/1 and Carpe Diem is 16/1.
Perhaps oddsmakers are already taking action on other contenders seeing as how we haven’t had a Triple Crown winner since 1978 (Affirmed). The Belmont is where savvy bettors have found value while betting against the contender that is racing for the Triple Crown.
This year the value might be found in betting on Frosted, who finished fourth in the Kentucky Derby and who is well rested after being held out of last week’s Preakness Stakes.
