According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Djokovic is the clear favorite in this championship, as he has a money line of -550 to win, while Murray has been given odds of +420 to win. These two will meet very early on Sunday morning.
These two have met 30 times in their career and Djokovic has had the clear edge, winning 21 of the 30 meetings. These two have also met in the Australian Open Final three other times, with Djokovic taking all three victories. In last year’s championship, Djokovic picked up a 7-6, 6-7, 6-3, 6-0 win.
Djokovic hasn’t had much difficulty in this year’s tournament, dropping just two sets. He is coming off a 61-, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 win over Roger Federer in the semifinal. Murray has had a little bit of a tougher time, losing four sets. He went five sets in the semifinal with Milos Raonic, coming back from being down 2-1. Murray has never won the Australian Open while Djokovic is looking to claim his sixth Aussie Open championship.
