Behindatthebar Odds
Behindatthebar is ready to hit the track again after a bruise in his left front foot caused him to be scratched from the Preakness Stakes in May. Oddsmakers from Online Sports Book Bodog have given Behindatthebar 25/1 odds to win the 2008 Belmont Stakes.
Bet Behindatthebar in the 2008 Belmont Stakes
As previously noted, Behindatthebar was scratched from the 2008 Preakness Stakes a day before the race when he came down with a bruised left front foot. While the injury wasn’t considered serious, the main problem the colt now faces is that he was left with no prep race before the Grade 1 Belmont Stakes.
The last race Behindatthebar did compete in, however, he won. On April 19, Behindatthebar won the Coolmore Lexington Stakes Grade 2 race at Keeneland Race Course. He was considered only one of a handful of horses to give Big Brown competition at the Preakness, but he obviously never got his shot to compete.
Behindatthebar is a bit of a mystery entering the Belmont Stakes. Once again, he was considered to be a decent threat to Big Brown at the Preakness Stakes and at 25/1, he’s not necessarily considered a long shot at the Belmont Stakes, either. But with no prep race before the Belmont, it’s going to be tough for Behindatthebar to have a good showing on June 7. Remember, he hasn’t competed since April 19.
