The big news out of Santa Anita Park this week is that Big Brown, the thoroughbred that was one victory shy of capturing horse racing’s Triple Crown earlier this year, has a broken foot and his career is over.
This means that Curlin is the odds-on favorite to win the 2008 Breeders’ Cup according to oddsmakers from SBG Global, who made the thoroughbred horse a 3/1 favorite days before Big Brown’s injury.
