Breeders’ Cup Classic Betting Odds
The Breeders’ Cup Classic will take place this Saturday and 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah is the clear favorite.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, American Pharoah is a 6/5 favorite to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic this weekend. Beholder has the next best odds at 3/1, while Tonalist and Honor Code are both 6/1, respectively.
American Pharoah, who won the Triple Crown this year by sweeping the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes, is coming off a second-place finish in the Travers Stakes on August 29. He also won the Haskell Invitational on August 2 and will be looking to place in the money for the 10th consecutive time dating back to September 3 of 2014.
As for Beholder, the 5-year-old mare is working on a six-start unbeaten streak. She won the Zenyatta Stakes on September 26 and also placed first in the Pacific Classic on August 22, the Clement L. Hirsh Stakes on August 1, the Adoration Stakes on June 13, the Santa Lucia on April 10, and the Zenyatta Stakes in September of 2014.
