Breeders’ Cup Classic Predictions
Will American Pharoah win the Breeders’ Cup Classic this evening? The 2015 Triple Crown winner is the current favorite, and with good reason.
WIN: American Pharoah (4/5)
There’s no value for bettors in taking American Pharoah to win straight up, but the Triple Crown winner remains the most talented contender in the field. He’s coming off a second-place finish in the Travers Stakes on August 29 but has finished in the money nine straight times dating back to September 3 of 2014. A victory in the Breeders’ Cup Classic will put the cherry on top of a tremendous year for American Pharoah.
PLACE: Keen Ice (10/1)
Keen Ice has finished in the money in all three of his last three outings, including a first-place showing over American Pharoah and Frosted in the Travers Stakes. He also placed second behind American Pharoah in the Haskell Invitational on August 2 and placed third behind American Pharoah and Frosted in the Belmont Stakes earlier this year. There’s no question Keen Ice has the talent to finish in the money and the 10/1 odds offer a nice value for bettors.
SHOW: Honor Code ( 6/1)
Honor Code also has a three-outing streak of finishing inside the money, dating back to a win in the Metropolitan Hcp. (Met Mile) on June 6. The four-year-old colt also won the Grade I Whitney Handicap on August 8 and placed third in the Grade II Kelso Handicap on October 3.
