Can Koepka Add a Major in 2021?

As we head towards the end of the year, those who like to have a bet on the big golf tournaments will be putting their focus on the four major championships in 2021.

It won’t be long before the world’s leading players return to Augusta National Golf Cup for the US Masters where Dustin Johnson will be looking to defend the title he won just last month.

A good formula to follow next year may be to back Brooks Koepka in all four majors. The American has proved to be the man for the big occasions and, although he drew a blank in 2020, his next big win is unlikely to be far away.

Remarkably, Koepka is a seven-time PGA Tour winner but four of those wins have come in major championships. The 30-year-old is able to raise his game in those events and handle the pressure extremely well.

The two-time PGA Player of the Year will be disappointed with how the last 12 months have gone. This is likely to mean he will be working very hard on his game in the early stages of 2021. He has four months to get his game in the best shape it can be for his visit to Georgia for the Masters.

Koepka is 14/1 in the golf betting to win the 2021 US Masters. Those odds look generous when you consider he has finished in a tie for second and seventh on his last two appearances in the tournament. Augusta is clearly a course which suits his game, so expect to see him in the mix again in April.

The former world number one is capable of shooting low at the course in Georgia. In 2019 he carded a 66 in the opening round of the tournament. If he can reproduce something similar next year, he could be wearing the green jacket at the end of the weekend.

Koepka Has No Issues Playing in The Open Events

Some players struggle to produce their best golf in the US Open and Open Championship due to the difficult conditions the courses often present. This can’t be said for Koepka, as his victories in the 2017 and 2018 US Open prove.

Koepka was forced to miss the US Open in 2020 due to a back injury. This was a big blow as he would have been one of the leading contenders for the title at Winged Foot Golf Club. Given how strong his game is under intense wind and rain, the American will fancy his chances of winning more US Open titles in the future.

One of the tournaments the Florida State graduate will be targeting in 2021 is the Open Championship. This is the oldest major of the four and one Koepka has yet to win. His best performance so far in his career was a tie for fourth place in 2019. He is 14/1 to prevail at Royal St George in July.

Backing Koepka at level stakes in the big four events in 2021 will hopefully see you pick up a profit. One victory will be a great result, anything more will be a huge bonus.
