Clemson Season Odds
The No. 9 ranked Clemson Tigers are the favorites to win the ACC Conference this year, but oddsmakers have still made them 20/1 long shots to win the 2009 BCS National Championship.

Tommy Bowden’s Tigers boast one of the best tailback duos in the nation with James Davis and C.J. Spiller. Davis rushed for over 1,000 yards last year for the second straight season, while Spiller only served as the perfect compliment. On defense, Clemson welcomes eight starters back to a unit that yielded just 18.7 points a game in 2007.
No matter which major online sports book you choose, Clemson’s odds this year are fairly consistent across the board. Oddsmakers from online sports book Bodog have made the Tigers a 22/1 long shot to win the 2009 BCS National Championship, while Sportsbook.com and SBG Global have made them 20/1 long shots.
Clemson has a balanced attack on both sides of the ball and their defense could carry them to incredible heights in 2008. Led by safety Michael Hamlin, defensive end Ricky Sapp and cornerback Chris Chancellor, points are going to be hard to come by when opposing teams face Clemson this year. Offensively, Davis and Spiller get the attention, but opposing teams can’t fall asleep on quarterback Cullen Harper, who fell just nine yards shy of 3,000 passing yards last season. The Tigers are the favorites to win the ACC and one of the true sleepers to emerge for a national title.
