Cross-Sports Parlay: Will UCLA cover vs. Washington? Is Ohio State a live dog vs. A&M?

Cross-Sports Parlay Cross-Sports Parlay

Will the Golden Knights cash as a road favorite versus the Utah Hockey Club? Will the Pelicans show any effort against the Nuggets? Can UCLA hang with Washington in Seattle? Read on for our Cross-Sports Parlay for Friday night.

Thursday Cross-Sports Parlay Recap

My Thursday Cross-Sports Parlay went to sh*t when the Panthers lost again to the Devils – for a second time this week. The Commanders also blew a fourth quarter lead to the Eagles while failing to cover as a 3.5-point dog. Tulsa did score 24-plus points against ECU.

NHL Cross-Sports Parlay: Vegas Golden Knights -130, 9:00 p.m. ET

The Golden Knights just beat the Utah Hockey Club 4-3 in overtime on November 2. That doesn’t mean they’re a sure bet to knock off Utah again tonight, but the Hockey Club has dropped three out of their last five games entering play. Vegas is 10-4-2 on the season and the price is right tonight.

NBA Cross-Spots Parlay: Denver Nuggets -6, 8:00 p.m. ET

The Nuggets will take on the Pelicans on Friday night and I’m surprised they’re not laying a bigger number. This New Orleans team barely looks like its trying. They’ve covered once since November 1. That’s a span of eight games. They didn’t even cover as a 14.5-point underdog the other night against the Thunder. They haven’t covered numbers of 8.5 (at Orlando) and 6.5 (vs. Cleveland). At this point, it doesn’t matter who the opponent is – New Orleans will find a way to post another ATS loss.

CFB Cross-Sports Parlay: UCLA Bruins +4.5

Remember when UCLA barely beat Hawaii as a 13.5-point favorite to start the season and then rattled off five straight losses? Everyone thought the Bruins were a joke. That said, following outright wins over Rutgers (+4), Nebraska (7.5) and Iowa (+6.5) as underdogs, we should be looking at UCLA in a different light.

Let’s go back to the five-game losing streak from September 14 through October 12. The Bruins’ first loss in that skid was against an Indiana team that remains undefeated and currently ranks fifth in the College Football Playoff Rankings. The second loss in that streak came at LSU – not an easy place to play. Their third loss was to Oregon, although the Bruins covered as a 23.5-point underdog. Then they traveled to Penn State and while they fell 27-11, again UCLA covered. Finally, the Bruins failed to cover against Minnesota, but they were a 3.5-point dog and lost by four. Hardly reason to criticize the Bruins.

The point is, UCLA isn’t as bad as many believed. Having covered six out of their last seven games entering playing tonight, I’m willing to back the Bruins on Friday night against a Washington team that is just 1-3 ATS over its last four games.

CBB Cross-Sports Parlay: Ohio State Buckeyes +6.5, 9:00 p.m. ET

The Buckeyes beat Texas outright as a 1.5-point underdog earlier this month and then took care of business against Youngstown State as a 19-point favorite. The Buckeyes’ BPI ranking of 14.0 is only a percentage point off of Texas A&M’s mark of 14.1. And Ohio State is receiving 6.5 points? I’ll take it.
