According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Power currently has 11/2 odds to win Sunday’s Indy 500. Scott Dixon is the favorite with 9/2 odd while Simon Pagenaud also has 11/2 odds. This race will take place on Sunday at Noon ET from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Power is set to enter his eighth Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. He has never won the race and only has one top-5 finish, which came in 2009, and that was fifth place. Since then, Power has finished outside the top 10 three times and finished eighth two times. For this year’s race, Power qualified second, which matches his previous best start. He also qualified second in 2010, when he ended up finishing eighth.
Power finally broke through and won the IndyCar season title in 2014. He had finished second three previous times before winning in 2014. This season, Power currently sits second with 166 points after five races. He has one win, one runner-up finish and a fourth-place finish this season. Power has won at least three times each of the last five seasons.
