Hungarian Grand Prix Picks
The Formula 1 Series will get the 2018 Hungarian Grand Prix underway early on Sunday morning. Here’s the drivers we like to contend for the win.
The Hungarian Grand Prix takes place Sunday at 9:10AM ET from Hungaroring. The race is a 190-mile contest that will run 70 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers, Sebastian Vettel is the favorite to win this race, as he is getting odds of +175 to prevail. Other short odds to win are Lewis Hamilton (+275) and Max Verstappen (+300)
51102 Lewis Hamilton +275
Hamilton is a five-time winner of this race, last claiming the victory in 2016. He enters the weekend as the points leader right now as he seeks his fifth series championship. Hamilton has four wins on the year and two other runner-up finishes. He has been the top driver in the series for years and now that he is not the favorite, he is definitely worth wagering on.
51101 Sebastian Vettel +175
Vettel was the 2017 and 2015 winner of this race. He comes into the weekend in need of a win after not being able to finish last weekend in Germany. Vettel is second in the point standings behind Hamilton right now despite also having four wins in 2018. From a necessity standpoint, Vettel does need this race more, which is why he may be favored over Hamilton this weekend.
51104 Daniel Ricciardo +400
Ricciardo is the outside driver I am going to stick with this weekend. He has two wins on the year and has finished in the top 5 in five other races. Ricciardo has struggled with not finishing races, doing so in four this year. However, when he does finish, he is always near the front. He has already been third fiddle in this race in 2016 and 2015. I think he will be right with Vettel and Hamilton on Sunday as well.
