The 2017 Formula 1 Series officially gets underway this weekend with the running of the Australian Grand Prix. Here is a look at the odds to win the race.

The Australian Grand Prix takes place on Saturday night at 9PM ET from Melbourne Street Circuit. The race is a 191-mile contest that will run 58 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Lewis Hamilton is the clear favorite, as he has +110 odds. Other short odds to win are Sebastian Vettel (+333) and Valtteri Bottas (+500).

Bet on the Australian Grand Prix

Hamilton has won this race two different times, last doing so in 2015. Hamilton won the F1 series title in 2014 and 2015, but finished second to Nico Rosberg last season. However, Rosberg retired following the title and now Hamilton should be the dominant driver once again. He won 10 races in 2016, including the last four of the season.

Vettel was the last driver not named Hamilton or Rosberg to win an F1 championship. He took the title from 2010-13. Vettel was the 2011 winner of this race and placed third the last two years. He went winless in 2016.

Bottas finished eighth in the F1 standings a year ago and also went without a win. He had just four top-5 finishes on the year as well. He placed eighth in this race last year. He is replacing Rosberg at Mercedes, which is why his odds are stronger than his numbers would suggest.
