Italian Grand Prix Picks
The Formula 1 Series will hold the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday morning. Here are some drivers we like to contend for this victory.
The Italian Grand Prix takes place on Sunday at 8AM ET from Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The race is a 191-mile contest that will run 53 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Lewis Hamilton is a -125 favorite to win on Sunday. Other short odds to win are Nico Rosberg (+175) and Daniel Ricciardo (+1000).
Lewis Hamilton has become the expected winner of F1 races unless something strange happens, like last week’s penalty. There is no penalty this week and he should easily contend for his fourth win in this race and third straight Italian GP victory. He has won six of the last eight F1 races and is just better than the rest.
Nico Rosberg is the only other legit candidate to win on paper. He has six wins on the year, but only two in the last nine races as Hamilton has really hit his stride. If Hamilton slips up, Rosberg is likely to be the one to capitalize.
Over the last five year either Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel has won this race. Vettel has won three times in his career at this track and has +1400 odds to win on Sunday. Vettel is winless this year, but still has finished in the top 5 in eight races. Should something unexpected happen to Hamilton and Rosberg, Vettel is the likely candidate to take advantage and get a rare win.
