Japanese Grand Prix Picks
The Formula 1 Series is back in action early on Sunday for the running of the Japanese Grand Prix. Here are some drivers we like to contend for the victory.
The Japanese Grand Prix takes place on Sunday at 1AM ET from Suzuka Circuit. The race is a 191-mile contest that will run 53 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Lewis Hamilton is favored to win the race, as he has +110 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Nico Rosberg (+120) and Daniel Ricciardo (+700).
Lewis Hamilton is in need of a win as he now sits 23 points out of first place in the F1 standings. After racking up six wins in 2016, he has failed to grab a win in the last four races, which allowed Rosberg to take over the points lead. As a three-time winner of this race and two-time defending champion, Hamilton still seems like the one to beat.
Nico Rosberg has picked up the slack and emerged as the points leader in 2016 thanks to eight wins on the year. He has won three of the last four races and comes to a track where he has finished second to Hamilton the last two years. He will be eager to pass Hamilton on Sunday.
Max Verstappen has +1000 odds to win on Sunday. He is just one of two drivers to have wins this year other than Hamilton and Rosberg. He also has finished in second in three other races this year. Verstappen feels like a good bet if you think Rosberg and Hamilton will drive too hard against each other and cause a wreck.
