Austrian Grand Prix Picks
The 2017 Austrian Grand Prix will get underway early on Sunday. Here are the drivers we like to contend for the win in the Formula 1 race.
The Austrian Grand Prix takes place Sunday at 8AM ET from Red Bull Ring. The race is a 190-mile contest that will run 71 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Lewis Hamilton is the favorite to win this race, as he has -128 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Sebastian Vettel (+187) and Valtteri Bottas (+375).
Bet on the Austrian Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton finds himself 14 points out of first in the point standings and he is coming off a fifth-place finish two weeks ago. Hamilton has three wins this year while placing second two other times. The three-time F1 champion won this race a year ago and should be the car to beat as he can’t afford to keep falling further out of first place.
Sebastian Vettel hasn’t had great luck at this race, retiring in two of the last three years. However, 2017 has been much different for him. He is the points leader right now on Hamilton thanks to three wins and three runner-up finishes. Vettel hasn’t finished worse than fourth in any race this year. He has been able to go toe-to-toe with Hamilton all year and I think that continues on Sunday.
Daniel Ricciardo is listed with +2100 odds today, but I think that is great value for a dark horse contender. Ricciardo is coming off his first win of the season last week and he had finished third in the three races prior to that. He seems to have a lot of momentum this season and has competed with the leaders when not wrecking or having car issues. If he can stay clean, he has a great chance for another upset win.
