Canadian Grand Prix Picks
The 2017 Formula 1 racing season gets the Canadian Grand Prix underway later this afternoon. Here are our picks for this F1 race.
The Canada Grand Prix takes place today at 2PM ET from Circuit Ile Notre-Dame/Gilles Villeneuve. The race is a 190-mile contest that will run 70 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Lewis Hamilton is favored to win this race, as he has -175 odds to prevail. Other short odds to win are Sebastian Vettel (+160) and Valtteri Bottas (+700).
Bet on the Canadian Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton is a five-time winner of this race and the two-time defending champion. Hamilton is coming off a seventh-place finish in the last race, pushing him well behind Vettel for first in the F1 standings. He will need to bounce back today and pick up the win to get back on track. He has two wins on the year already.
Sebastian Vettel won this race back in 2013 and he finished second a year ago. Vettel has been the most consistent driver in F1 this season in terms of expectations. He has finished first or second in all six races, winning three of them. Vettel has plenty of confidence and may be my favorite to win today.
Daniel Ricciardo is listed with +8000 odds to win, but he is also a former champion of this race. He took the checkered flag back in 2014. Ricciardo is fifth in the point standings right now, but that is due to a pair of DNF’s. When he has been able to stay on the track, he has performed well. He has four top-5 finishes this year, including a third-place finish in each of the last two races. Ricciardo should be in the mix today and could be your winner if Vettel and Hamilton mess up.
