Hungarian Grand Prix Picks
The Formula 1 Season will wave the green flag once again on Sunday with the running of the Hungarian Grand Prix. Here are the drivers we like to contend for the win.
The Hungarian Grand Prix takes place Sunday at 8AM ET from Hungaroring The race is a 190-mile contest that will run 70 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Lewis Hamilton is the favorite to win this race, as he has -137 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Sebastian Vettel (+300) and Valtteri Bottas (+350).
Bet on the Hungarian Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton may have gotten back on track two weeks ago with his British Grand Prix victory. He now comes to a place where he has won five times, including the 2016 race. Hamilton is a four-time winner this year and he also has a pair of runner-up finishes. Hamilton is still behind Vettel in the point standings, so he needs to continue to rack up wins.
Sebastian Vettel won this race in 2015 and he comes into Sunday’s event as the points leader. He has three wins on the year and four runner-up finishes. He is actually coming off his worst showing of 2017, a seventh-place finish in Britain. I don’t think that will continue this weekend. Vettel should get back to his top-2 running in Hungary.
Valtteri Bottas has been as strong as anyone in the series right now. He has finished first or second in the last four races, including a win in the Austrian Grand Prix. Bottas is third in the standings, but is climbing up the ranks and has now opened the door for a potential title if he can start winning consistently. I think Bottas is really settling in at Mercedes and should continue his strong runs this weekend.
