Japanese Grand Prix Picks
The Formula 1 Series is set to hold the Japanese Grand Prix just after midnight tonight. Here are some drivers we like to contend for the win.
The Japanese Grand Prix takes place Sunday at 1AM ET from Suzuka Circuit. The race is a 192-mile contest that will run 53 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Lewis Hamilton is the clear favorite to win this race, as he has +137. Other short odds to win are Sebastian Vettel (+167) and Max Verstappen (+400).
Bet on the Japanese Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton is the favorite for good reason. He is a three-time winner of this event, last taking home the win in 2015. Hamilton is the current points leader with 281 points thanks to his seven wins this year. Hamilton also has three runner-up finishes in 2017. Hamilton knows the importance of finishing the season strong after seeing his championship slip away in 2016. Expect him to be the man to beat tonight.
Sebastian Vettel is a four-time winner of this race, winning back-to-back in 2009-10 and 2012-13. He sits second in the standings right now, 34 points out of first place. Vettel needs wins if he hopes to get back into the championship hunt. He has four wins in 2017 right now, but has failed to get a win in his last four races. Vettel will have some work to get past Hamilton tonight, but if anyone can do it, it is him.
Daniel Ricciardo has +550 odds to win this race. I think he is a nice third option for you in tonight’s race. He has one win on the year and also was a winner last year. This season, Ricciardo has finished third in six races and second in another. He consistently works his way to the podium and that gives him a chance to win if Hamilton and Vettel are to have some issues on the track.
