Monaco Grand Prix Predictions
The 2017 Monaco Grand Prix gets underway early on Sunday. Here is a look at some drivers we like to contend for the win in this Formula 1 race.
The Monaco Grand Prix takes place Sunday at 8AM ET from Circuit de Monaco. The race is a 161-mile contest that will run 78 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Lewis Hamilton is favored to win, as he is listed with +100 odds to prevail. Other short odds to win are Sebastian Vettel (+137) and Valtteri Bottas (+650).
Lewis Hamilton is the defending champion of the Monaco Grand Prix and he has won this race on two occasions. Hamilton has won a pair of races this year and has finished second in two other races. He still trails Vettel in the point standings, so he needs to continue to find victory lane.
Sebastian Vettel won this race back in 2011 and he finished second in 2015. Vettel has been playing second fiddle to Hamilton in the odds all season, but he is the current points leader. He also has won two races and finished second in two others. If Hamilton isn’t going to win today, Vettel seems to be the sure bet to do it instead.
Daniel Ricciardo is listed with 14/1 odds today, but I think he has some value there. Riccardo has performed pretty well at this track. He finished second last year, fifth in 2015 and third in 2014. While he has been retired in two races this year, he has finished in the top 5 of all three races he has complete. I think he can make a run at a win if Hamilton and Vettel slip up.
